Technique
The air lace is made by the technique of quilting the embroidery surface with a twist. The base melts in water, while twisting threads creates spaces between them. After removing the embroidery, a soft grid – air lace is formed. This technique is typical if we want to allow coincidences and searching for new forms and patterns.
Creative solutions
With the technique of the air lace, we can also use narrow strips of fabric that are built into a larger, quilted surface on the embroidery base. That is how we create various applications for our skirts, dresses, shirts … The endless possibilities of creating with an air lace add to the product a whole new dimension.
